INTERDISCIPLINARITY, MULTICULTURALISM, AND WORK WITH THE PATIENT IN A NON-STANDARD SITUATION IN THE CONTEXT OF CONDUCTING DIDACTIC CLASSES IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND HEALTH SCIENCES IN CENTERS OF MEDICAL SIMULATION
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY – UNIVERSITY of OPOLE:
The project was created at the State Medical University of Applied Sciences in Opole.
The PMWSZ university was established on May 1, 2003. on the basis of the regulation of the Council of Ministers of April 8, 2003. (Journal of Laws No. 64, item 593). It was the only state medical higher vocational school in Poland and the first medical school in the Opole region. It ensured the education of medical staff in accordance with the latest standards, in line with the requirements of the European Union.
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of May 21, 2020, on July 15, 2020, the State Medical Higher Vocational School in Opole was incorporated into the University of Opole.
The UO university educates students in the full-time and part-time system in the following fields:
Practical vocational training takes place in the best wards of Opole hospitals, under the supervision of professional, highly qualified staff.
The University of Opole in its Institute of Health Sciences has an Innovative Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center (CMS) consisting of two high-fidelity rooms, two nursing and obstetric skills rooms, technical skills room, ALS / BLS room, OSCE exam and debriefing room, high classroom simulators for adult, child and infant patients, advanced ALS phantoms for adults, PALS for children, PALS for infants, birthing and newborn simulator, advanced nursing phantom for adult patients, simulator for gynecological examination, phantom of premature and infants for learning intravenous access, trainers for learning how to protect of the respiratory tract and intraosseous and peripheral intravascular access, a trainer for catheterization of the urinary bladder, for cricotomy, EKG and KTG apparatus, AED defibrillators, etc. creating scenarios of non-standard situations, taking into account the interdisciplinarity aspect. The rooms are equipped with video cameras that allow you to record scenarios for the textbook.
